Who we are
OUFAU is the only society within the University providing first aid cover for
events. There is no St John Ambulance group at Oxford University.
What we can provide
OUFAU owns well over £20,000 pounds worth of equipment, and its first
aiders are trained to nationally recognised standards. For a typical
Summer Ball we could provide 8 first aiders including people trained in advanced
first aid skills, our own radios, torches, four first aid bags, oxygen, carrying
equipment, fracture splints, cervical collars, blankets, a dressings box,
blankets, equipment for dealing with vomit and other bio-hazardous waste and the
necessary experience to run the duty, if required, without any extra assistance
from the Ball Committee or security.
