Emergency Aid
(4 hours)
In certain
situations, an employer may not require a qualified first aider but in these cases there
must be a person or persons appointed to look after first aid equipment and to
take charge of an emergency until a more qualified person arrives. The
Health and Safety Executive recommends that "Emergency Aid" training
is made available to appointed persons.
This course covers:
- Introduction to Health and Safety at Work
- Action in an emergency
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Management of an unconscious casualty
- Control of bleeding and management of wounds
Our open sessions for Hilary Term 2008 will be publicised shortly.
