Oxford University First Aid Unit (OUFAU) is committed to providing high-quality training to any persons or organisations who require such services, regardless of whether they are associated with the University of Oxford.  We are registered as a provider of first aid and/or resuscitation training with Heartstart UK, the Health and Safety Executive and Intavent-Orthofix.

Our courses are taught according to the latest guidelines issued by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and other bodies.  In order to ensure that our training complies with nationally recognised protocols, we are supervised by a Medical Director who has wide ranging expertise in pre-hospital care while our Director of Training monitors training standards, ensuring compliance with the regulations of our accrediting bodies.

We offer suitable training sessions for those requiring a basic first aid knowledge lest an emergency should occur in the home (such as Emergency Life Support and Paediatric Basic Life Support), courses for those needing training to cover an employer's obligations under health and safety legislation (such as Emergency Aid and First Aid at Work, as well as refresher courses for the latter), and also cater for the more specialist needs of clients operating in hazardous or remote environments where standard first aid techniques may need to be modified.

Our latest publicity card was circulated to all Colleges and Departments within Oxford University during June 2005.  A copy is available for download from here in PDF format.
All course bookings are subject to our terms and conditions for training course bookings, which are available here for download.
